Studies indicate that a strong foundation in education at preschool level allow children to do better in school in higher grades. We are passionate about preparing children for primary school - ready to learn. Therefore we introduce teachers to a Biblical world view that nurtures and develops children with Godly values!

Many children (especially in poverty stricken areas) are not stimulated at home, do not get fed regular meals and are often not ready for learning when they need to start their formal education. This can change through Preschool Teacher training!

Our Preschool Teacher Training focuses on

•   The administrative TASKS of teachers
•   Teaching STRATEGIES - utilizing the whole class and small group time best!
•   Classroom and playground DEVELOPMENT
•   Curriculum CONTENT: Numeracy/Numbers, Language/Literacy and Life Skills
•   We provide some of the MATERIAL needed (eg. complete lesson plans for 3-4 year olds and 5-6 year olds)
•   Teacher RESOURCES include our unique ABCs for Teachers©, themed lesson plans, original Isivuno Stories file, wall charts, digital files of songs and more!

FACE-TO-FACE
TRAINING

The 5 day in-person training (about 40 hours) must be attended in full to receive an attendance certificate. We offer adapted schedules for specific needs of the group when necessary.

ONLINE
TRAINING

Preschool teachers in remote areas, who are unable to attend a live training, may utilize our online training course. Weekly assignments are required for the duration of the 10-week period.

All teachers that have gone through our training have access to a continued mentorship through our workshops, online groups or in-person mentoring in their classroom. Our follow up training and support is available both in-person and online.

We encourage our teachers to do regular reflection, evaluation and planning to improve their teaching practices. We also help our teachers in registering their preschools with the Department of Social Development and Department of Basic Education, as well as applications for funding.

FACE-TO-FACE
MENTORING

Our trainers observe and assess teachers in their classroom setting and mentor them in the areas that need attention to ensure a continued high standard.

ONLINE
MENTORING

Our trainers mentor teachers individually via WhatsApp. Teachers are required to send their photos & recordings of completed tasks to their trainer.

During training we help our teachers make their own training resources.

Our informative workshops cover topics relevant to preschools.

Teachers who completed our training may order material from us.

We work hard to equip our teachers with greater knowledge and understanding in the areas that directly impact child education, parent involvement, health and life skills.
